3 detained after shots fired at deputies, chase in King County


Three people were detained after shots were fired at deputies and a chase early Friday morning in King County. 

The incident started at about 3:30 a.m. near 20900 Southeast 2nd Place in Sammamish. 

What we know:

The King County Sheriff's Office told FOX 13 Seattle deputies responded to reports of a car prowl/attempted theft. They also reported someone in a Dodge Durango fired shots near homeowners.

Shortly after deputies responded, they saw the suspect and chased them across Interstate 90 to Interstate 405. The Washington State Patrol also pursued the suspects. 

Investigators said the suspects fired shots at law enforcement. 

 No injuries were reported during the chase, and one person was taken into custody in Renton, authorities said.

The investigation is ongoing.
