Ramp from WB I-90 to NB I-5 reopens in Seattle after expansion joint repair
SEATTLE - Maintenance crews reopened the westbound I-90 ramp to I-5 late Monday night after shutting it down for expansion joint repairs.
Earlier in the day crews with the Washington State Department of Transportation had to close the ramp for urgent expansion repairs.
This heavily impacted the evening commute in Seattle.
What they're saying:
"This will be extended closure and will continue through the evening commute. Plan ahead and seek alternate routes," said WSDOT in a post to X (formerly Twitter).
Just before midnight, WSDOT said it finished pouring concrete for the expansion joint repairs and reopened just before midnight.
