Seattle police investigate second homicide this year

When officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Brief

    • A man was shot and killed at a park in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood Sunday morning.
    • Police announced they just identified and arrested the suspect accused of the shooting on Tuesday.

SEATTLE - Seattle police identified and arrested the suspect of a fatal shooting in the Ballard neighborhood last Sunday.

Officers, detectives and SWAT team members arrested a 20-year-old man for investigation of robbery and murder on Tuesday afternoon. He was identified as the suspect of a shooting at Ballard's Baker Park, which left a man dead Sunday morning.

A firearm and other evidence was recovered during the arrest, police say.
