Homicide investigation underway after deadly shooting in Tacoma, WA
A man is dead following a shooting in Tacoma near South Warner Street, not far from Cheney Stadium. Tacoma police were called to the scene around noon and found the man unresponsive with a gunshot wound.
TACOMA, Wash. - Tacoma police arrested a suspect in connection with a deadly shooting that happened Friday afternoon.
What we know:
Officers located an unresponsive male on South Orchard Street, just west of Cheney Stadium, just after noon on Friday. Personnel from the Tacoma Fire Department arrived and later pronounced the man dead.
In an update Monday, Tacoma PD says detectives identified and arrested an adult male suspect.
The man was booked into Pierce County Jail for second-degree murder and second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm.
The homicide investigation is ongoing.
