Man pepper sprays woman for whistling
SEATTLE -- An angry man allegedly pepper sprayed a woman walking down the street for "whistling" and "making noise" last week, Seattle police said.
According to a police report, a woman was traveling eastbound on Stewart Street near Yale Avenue around 10 p.m. last Tuesday when an unidentified male ran out of the alley toward her. Police said the man screamed and asked her "why she was making noise and whistling." Before the woman had a chance to respond, the man pepper sprayed her in the face.
The woman ran to a nearby 24-Hour fitness center and called police. When police arrived, the woman declined medical assistance. The suspect could not be found.
