Man pleads not guilty to Lake Stevens murder
EVERETT -- Anthony Garver pleaded not guilty in Snohomish County Superior Court Monday to charges he killed a 20-year-old woman in her Lake Stevens home in June.
Garver is charged with first-degree murder in connection with the slaying of Phillipa Evans-Lopez.
The two were seen on surveillance cameras today at a McDonald's in Lake Stevens on June 14. Three days later, Evans-Lopez was found dead in her home. She had been tied to her bed and stabbed to death.
Garver was arrested in Everett on July 3.
He was denied bail.
