Man shot in face in parking lot in Kent
KENT -- A man in his 20s was shot in the face in a parking lot near the Kent McDonald's on SE 256th Street Tuesday night in an apparent drive-by, authorities and witnesses said. The gunman or gunmen escaped.
Police said the victim was found next to this car, which had its windows shot out in a parking lot near the McDonald's on SE 256th Street in Kent Tuesday night. The victim was conscious when police found him.
The victim was rushed to Seattle's Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. His condition was not known Wednesday morning.
According to Kent police, officers were dispatched to a report of 4-5 gunshots and found the Kent man outside of his vehicle. Several cars in the parking lot had bullet holes in them. Police were gathering evidence and looking for suspects.
Police said they believe it was a targeted shooting, not a random act.
