SEATTLE - Seattle police are investigating after a man was injured Friday morning in a shooting and robbery in the University District.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting before 4 a.m. in the 4000 block of 8th Avenue Northeast.
When officers arrived they found a man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to both of his legs.
Fire officials told FOX 13 News the man, who is in his 30s, was taken to Harborview Medical Center.
Investigators said the victim told officers he pulled up to a friend's house on a motorcycle when two men on another motorcycle pulled up next to him. They demanded his backpack and assaulted him, which knocked him from his bike.
According to police, the two men shot him before stealing his motorcycle and driving away.
Officers later recovered the motorcycle.
Seattle police have not released any suspect information but the investigation remains ongoing.
