Mega Millions climbs to $400M for 'Friday the 13th' drawing

SEATTLE -- Feeling lucky? The Mega Millions jackpot has surged to about $400 million, and the next drawing is on Friday the 13th.

Lottery officials say the drawing could climb to $425 million or more Thursday.

The odds of winning Mega Millions are 1 in 259 million. The lump sum option would net you $144.9 million after taxes, not bad just before Christmas.

Three winners split a record $656 million, the largest Mega Millions jackpot in history, back in March of 2012.
