Missing Yakima man's SUV found in Portland; police ask for public's help

PORTLAND -- Police are asking for the public's help in locating a missing 31-year-old Yakima, Wash., man after his SUV was found abandoned in Portland.

According to KPTV in Portland, police said Anthony Hornbeck, 31, was last seen in Yakima on July 31 when he walked out of his job and asked co-workers if they wanted to get a cold drink. He never returned to work.

Hornbeck's 1999 black Dodge Durango was found in Portland on Aug. 13 in the Fred Meyer parking lot at 6850 North Lombard St.

Police said Hornbeck is white, 6-foot-1, with a slim to medium build, sandy blonde hair and a shaggy beard. Police said he has no known mental or physical ailments.
