Mitchell McKay: Child rapist known to jump out of bushes, trying to lure young girls back into woods

trollFUGITIVE CAUGHT Feb. 5, 2013 -- The King County Sheriff's Office says missing sex offender, Mitchell McKay, was arrested Tuesday night, and booked into the King County jail. It was a Burien police deputy who spotted him on a street corner, and got him back on the map in King County FUGITIVE WANTED IN KING COUNTY Oct. 5, 2012 -- Talk about a predator in the wild - cops say missing child rapist is living in the woods Just when you think they can't get any scarier, there’s a sex offender King County detectives need your help finding who’s living in the woods. Mitchell McKay is a child predator who's missing from Whatcom County, but has been camping out in King County. He was recently seen trespassing in the woods off I-5 in Seatac, where he told officers he'd been living for the last 6 months. The warrant for his arrest was issued in September, but his sex crimes go back to 1990. "This guy is considered the worst of the worst criminals,” says King County Sgt. Cindi West. “He was convicted of Rape of a Child, 1st degree, and Child Molestation in the 1st degree. And, since the time he was convicted, we caught him approaching little girls, jumping out of the woods and approaching them, and telling them they were ‘beautiful’, and wanted to talk to them." After he was arrested, deputies made a disturbing find, trekking into the woods where McKay had been living, and finding several teen magazines opened to photos of young girls. Sgt. West says guys like McKay are exactly why it's so important to teach kids about 'Stranger Danger'. “Here is something you would consider the 'worst case scenario' for your kids. This is exactly the type of thing we talk to our kids about - staying away from people when they approach you." Here are the details on MITCHELL MCKAY

    Again, he's supposed to be living in Whatcom County, but detectives think he's been in King County -- mainly in the woods along Military Rd.
