Mudslides close I-90, Stevens Pass, Blewett Pass
Multiple major highways across western Washington were blocked as crews dealt with mudslides across the roadways on Wednesday.
NORTH BEND, Wash. - Eastbound lanes on Interstate 90 finally reopened Thursday afternoon after a mudslide completely blocked the direction of the freeway overnight.

The mudslide completely blocked eastbound I-90 in the North Bend and Snoqualmie area around 2 p.m. Wednesday. Officials said the direction of the freeway was back open at around 1:30 Thursday.
Additionally, US 2 Stevens Pass is closed due to water and debris on the roadway. The highway is blocked from Index over Stevens Pass to Leavenworth.
There is currently no estimated time for reopening. Drivers are asked to take alternate routes.
Additionally, US 97 Blewett Pass was closed overnight due to dozens or downed trees on the roadway. Crews were able to reopen the road at 2 p.m. Thursday.
State Route 18 has reopened after a mudslide. The highway was fully blocked between the I-90 interchange and Issaquah Hobart Road, but reopened after 4 p.m.
State Route 9 near Snohomish is closed due to flooded roadways. The closure extends from State Route 96 to Marsh Road.
State Routes 203 and 202 are also closed in the Carnation/Fall City area due to water on the roadway.
Both directions of State Route 410 are closed west of Greenwater due to water over the roadway. The closure stretches between Mud Mountain Road to 583rd Avenue East.
Amtrak trains between Seattle and Vancouver, B.C. are suspended on Thursday and Friday due to anticipated flooding of the Skagit River.
