Multiple fires reported along I-5; cause unknown

MARYSVILLE -- Multiple fires broke out along Interstate 5 near Marysville Tuesday, causing long delays.

The cause of the fires near 12th Street NE was not immediately known. At least six small brushfires were counted.

A two mile backup was reported in each direction of I-5.

WSDOT said firefighters were notified and on their way to the scene.
