No real threat of rain in sight

SEATTLE -- We are under high pressure and that means this dry, cold weather will continue through this next weekend. It’ll be cold enough each night that area roads will continue to be icy. Lows will be down in the 20s all week. The air quality will be compromised due to an inversion that traps all the cold, foggy air over Puget Sound.

Expect lots of fog and clouds this week. There will be a few sun breaks each afternoon but you can count on foggy weather most of the week, too. No real threat of rain in the forecast through Sunday. We could go nine days without any real significant precipitation. That is impressive for this time of year.
