Olympic snowpack running low
PORT ANGELES-- The Olympic snowpack is running low and is currently at 24 percent of normal levels for this time of year.
Scott Pattee with National Resources Conservation Service told the Peninsula Daily News that though it's very low, it's too soon to make predictions about next summer's water supply.
"Usually in the early season like this, things are still on the fence," Pattee told the newspaper.
Last year at this time, the Olympic snowpack was 211 percent of normal.
It's still early in the season, and it's possible we could still catch up to normal amounts of snow water equivalent.
