One man dead after logging truck goes off the road near Olympia

OLYMPIA - A 37-year old Hoquiam resident has died after a logging truck accident in the Capitol Forest outside Olympia.

The accident happened  around 2:30 p.m. on Monday in the forest about one mile from State Route 8.

Washington State Patrol deputies says Michael Webber was northbound on a forest service road when he failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway and struck a tree and a large stump.

Deputies say Webber was not wearing a seat belt.  He was pronounced dead on scene.
