Police hope missing wallet holds clues in 100-year-old man's killing
100-year-old Robert Benson was found killed in his SeaTac home.
SEATAC -- Sheriff's deputies are asking for help locating a suspect in the mysterious killing of a 100-year-old SeaTac man, apparently killed for his wallet.
Robert O. Benson, 100, was found killed Friday afternoon at his home in the 4800 block of 168th Street in SeaTac, the King County Sheriff's Office said. Though the exact cause of his death was undetermined, deputies said, the sheriff's department was calling his death a homicide.
Benson's wallet was missing from the scene, and police detectives are trying to locate it. The wallet was made of brown leather, and contained Benson's driver's license along with cards from Chase, Key Bank and a Discover credit card. Also inside were his AARP card, his proof of car insurance and his Medicare card.
Anyone with information on the wallet or the death of Mr. Benson is asked to call the King County Sheriff’s Office at 206- 296.3311.
