Police looking for suspect in Tukwila home-invasion robbery
TUKWILA – Tukwila police are asking for help finding a suspect in a home-invasion robbery that happened early Tuesday morning.
Police say the suspect, 36-year-old Eric James Chavez, has a history of armed robbery, assault and drug violations and is considered potentially armed and dangerous.
Just after 3:30 a.m., police were sent to a house in the 11800 block of 44 Ave. S. in Tukwila, after an elderly man called 911 to say two men with guns were inside his home robbing an elderly woman.
When the police got to the house, the man pointed them toward a car that was driving away. Police stopped it, arrested two suspects and recovered guns and stolen property.
The man told them another suspect had ran off on foot, and police identified him as Chavez.
Chavez is 5-foot-7, 200 pounds with brown eyes and a shaved head. He was last seen in a blue shirt and blue pants.
He was last seen in a stolen red 2005 Dodge Dakota pickup with a red canopy, license No. C22339D.
If you see Chavez, call 911 immediately and don’t approach him.
