Police arrest suspect in quadruple Tacoma shooting

Tacoma Police have arrested a suspect in connection to a drive-by shooting that left four people injured last month.

On July 3 just before 9 p.m., police were called to reports of a shooting in the 3300 block of South Asotin. When officers arrived, they located four gunshot wound victims.

Officers began lifesaving measures, and all victims were transported to local hospitals and later released.

On Aug. 4, officers were conducting surveillance in the area of 36th Ave E. and Alaska Street when they saw a suspect in this case. Police tried to stop the vehicle that the suspect was in, but the vehicle sped off.

A chase began, and officers were able to stop the suspect using a PIT maneuver. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.

They were booked into Pierce County Jail for four counts of first-degree assault and drive-by shooting.
