Police searching for suspects in North Seattle shooting

SEATTLE -- Police are looking for suspects in the Tuesday morning shooting that left a man in critical condition.

According to a Seattle Police Department tweet, a victim in his 50s was shot multiple times around 8:30 a.m. near the intersection of NE 55th Street and 27th Avenue. Police are looking for the suspect, who may have left in a vehicle.

Medics transported the 30-year-old male victim to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries to his upper leg and wrist. He was in critical condition at 9:40 a.m.

According to the Seattle Times, the man was shot near Ravenna Park and was apparently targeted. Two suspects drove up in a dark sedan, the Times reported, and one suspect got out of the car and shot the man twice. The suspects got back into the car and drove off. The victim was walking near his apartment.

One neighbor told the Times they heard seven gunshots and a man's screams.
