Port of Seattle Commissioner resigns
The Seattle Times reported that Port of Seattle Commissioner Rob Holland has resigned, effective March 15 a Port spokesperson told the paper.
Holland joined the Port in 2010, the Times said and was recently under scrutiny for problems during his first terms. The Seattle Times wrote a story earlier this month about Holland's personal and professional problems that plagued his term. Some of the problems that surfaced included allegations that he ran afoul of the Port's credit-card policies and complaints from county staff about two nonprofit organizations he launched with a business partner who also happened to be a convicted sex offender and armed burglar, the paper reported.
The Times said a statement from the Port said that Holland is leaving "to pursue other professional opportunities."
