Power restored after 20,000 Seattleites left in the dark Sunday

SEATTLE - Power is back on in Seattle after 20,000 people were left in the dark Sunday.

Around 11:15 a.m., the power went out in the Seattle neighborhoods of Eastlake, Fremont, Laurelhurst, Montlake, Wallingford and parts of Capitol Hill and the University District, officials with Seattle City Light said.

The outage affected Seattle City Light's University Substation, officials said. The exact cause of the outage was not immediately known.

Power was restored to all areas by 3 p.m.
