Seahawks Wright to have surgery Tuesday

SEATTLE -- Seahawks linebacker K.J. Wright is expected to miss 4-6 weeks following surgery to repair a foot bone fracture he suffered Sunday in the loss to the 49ers, the Seattle P.I. reported.

Wright's surgery is planned for Tuesday. According to the P.I., the Seahawks are unsure if Wright will play again this season.

"We'll find out, I think, after they do the surgery and find out what the extent of it was," Carroll said.

Wright's replacement is Malcolm Smith, argued by many to be a strong replacement and even a starter on most teams. Max Unger, also injured in Sunday's game, is expected to play against the New York Giants next Sunday.
