Search turns up little after ferry life-ring found in water
SEATTLE -- The U.S. Coast Guard, Washington State Ferries and other emergency crews searched for a possible ferry rider who fell overboard in Elliott Bay after a ferry systems life-ring was found floating late Sunday night.
The ferry boat "Puyallup" was delayed from the 9 p.m. sailing from Seattle to Bainbridge Sunday night after a ferry systems life-ring was found in the water.
A U.S. Coast Guard boat, helicopter and other crews were called in to search for a possible person overboard after the ring was found. No other evidence of someone overboard found by Monday morning, but the search continued.
Officials are still not sure if someone fell into the water, or if a life-ring came loose from a boat.
