Seattle police investigating sexual assault that took place near UW campus

SEATTLE -- Seattle police detectives are investigating a sexual assault that took place early Saturday near the UW campus, the University of Washington Police Department said.

The crime occurred at 1 a.m. Saturday in the 4200 block between Roosevelt Way NE and 11th Avenue NE.

"The victim was walking alone when she was grabbed by an unknown suspect, forced into the alley and sexually assaulted," the UW Police Department said.

The department said the victim was unable to provide a description of the attacker.
