Seattle store clerk shot in foot as he tries to chase down beer robber
SEATTLE -- A clerk at a gas station convenience store in the 900 block of James Street was shot in the foot Friday night as he tried to chase down an armed robber who had just stolen beer from the store, police said.
The wounded clerk was transported to Harborview Medical Center with a non-life-threatening injury, police said.
The clerk and another employee tried to chase down the robber as he fled the store with the beer, but the robber fired at them, striking the clerk in the foot, police said. The suspect then fled.
The suspect was described as a black man in his 30s.
