Sheriff's Office looking for man after attempted kidnapping in Kitsap County



KITSAP COUNTY, Wash. – Kitsap County Sheriff’s office is looking for a suspect who a woman says attempted to grab her Sunday afternoon.

The 28-year-old told the sheriff’s office she was walking down the street in the 1500 block of Cedar Road in south Kitsap County right outside of Port Orchard.

She says a man in a pickup stopped his truck on the side of the road and tried to grab her. She was able to run from the man and hide. He got into his truck and drove away.

She describes him as a white male with reddish hair and a long goatee. She says he is around 6' to 6' 2" tall and was wearing dirty pants, boots and a dirty black T-Shirt.

The truck he was driving was a baby blue 1980-1990 pickup with an extended cab. It had a cream-colored canopy on the back with a broken window and a chrome or mirrored stripe down the side.
