MAPLE VALLEY -- King County sheriff's detectives were investigating a shooting in Maple Valley late Tuesday night.

Little hard information was immediately known.  Sheriff's office Sgt. Cindi West said in a tweet that guns were thrown from a vehicle, and that were an unknown number of victims and the extent of  injuries was not immediately known.

Later, the Seattle Times reported that the sheriff's office had received a call of shots fired at a house in the 23600 block of Witte Road in Maple Valley, but then were called to a nearby convenience store where they found a man shot in the face. He apparently was taken in the hospital and his condition was unknown.

The Times said there was others found with assault injuries in the house.

The newspaper added that a woman drove herself to Valley Medical Center with a gunshot wound and said the injury had occurred in Maple Valley, and that detectives believe all the incidents are related.
