Suspect fled on bicycle after fatal stabbing
LYNNWOOD -- A 35-year-old Snohomish county man allegedly fled on a bicycle after fatally stabbing an acquaintance early Thursday morning, police said.
Police received an assault with weapons call just after 12 a.m. in the 5400 block of 204th Street. Officers arrived at an apartment complex to find a 33-year-old man stabbed dead in an apartment. Witnesses told police the suspect fled the area on a bicycle, and police quickly cordoned off a 12-block area and found the suspect.
The suspect was booked into Snohomish County Jail on investigation of homicide. Witnesses said the men were acquaintances and got into an argument shortly before the stabbing.
According to police, neither the suspect nor victim lived at the Lynnwood apartment and they were visiting. Lynnwood detectives are interviewing witnesses.
