Suspect sought in deadly Eastlake shooting

SEATTLE -- Police are looking for the suspect in a deadly early morning shooting Monday in the Eastlake neighborhood.

According to police, three people in a car near Eastlake Avenue East and East Lynn Street around 12 a.m. decided to stop at a local mini-mart. The driver of the car let one passenger out at the Eastlake Market and pulled into the alley behind the store and parked in the 2200 block of Franklin Avenue East.

While they waited, a suspect in a hooded sweatshirt walked up to the car and fired a gun on both occupants. A male in his 20s was killed at the scene and another male in his 20s was taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police were called to the scene but could not locate the suspect.

Detectives from the Seattle Police Department are investigating the shooting.
