'Takeover Terror': Armed bank robber fires gun in one heist; beats teller in another
WANTED IN KING COUNTY --UPDATE: Information submitted by a WMW viewer led the Seattle Safe Street Task Force (SSSTF) to two suspects wanted in connection with a number of armed, takeover-style bank robberies in the area. The two were taken into July 22; the suspects were located early in the morning at a home they were staying at in Renton. SSSTF, FBI agent, King County detectives and officers from the Auburn and Seattle Police Departments worked on the investigation together. ORIGINAL STORY (JUNE 21, 2013) -- We're not messing around with a nickname for this bank robber who's packing heat for his heists – and not afraid to pull the trigger. “This guy is extremely armed and dangerous,” says King County Sgt. Cindi West. “He goes in, and instead of like normal bank robbers passing a note and implying he has a weapon when he doesn't, he actually displays a weapon, fires shots, and even struck one of the employees at one time. This employee is obviously traumatized from this event. He's wreaking havoc among bank tellers who worry he may by coming to their bank next.” Detectives say he's behind four bank robberies since January, and sticks to the King County/Seattle area.
