Temple of the Dog reunites for tour, with final stop in Seattle

SEATTLE, Wash. – It’s the best possible news for grunge fans.

The supergroup Temple of the Dog announced Wednesday morning that it will reunite this fall for a tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of their self-titled album.

Even better: One of those five shows will be in Seattle. The final date will be Nov. 20 at the Parmount Theater.

The group is made up of Soundgarden's Chris Cornell and Peal Jam's Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard and Mike McReady, as well as drummer Matt Cameron, who plays with both bands.

The band was put together by Cornell in honor of Mother Love Bone's Andrew Wood, who died of a drug overdose.

The band will also play Philadelphia, New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Tickets go on sale July 29 through Ticketmaster, though there's a pre-sale already underway for fan club members of Soundgarden and Pearl Jam.
