Two dogs killed in Beacon Hill house fire



SEATTLE -- Three people escaped a fire at their Beacon Hill home Sunday afternoon, but officials said two dogs died.

Crews were called to the 2400 block of South Eddy Street shortly after 1:00 p.m.

Fire ripped through the inside of the home causing significant damage.

Officials said two women and a teenage girl made it out of the home safely, but the dogs were killed, likely due to smoke inhalation.

The American Red Cross is assisting the family.
