Two injured hikers rescued in 24 hours
SNOHOMISH COUNTY -- Two different incidents kept rescuers busy in Snohomish County.
Officials said a woman reported she had injured her foot around 7:00 p.m. Tuesday near Lake 22. She was unable to hike out.
A team of 30 volunteers found the woman and carried her out to safety around 11:00 p.m. She was not seriously hurt.
Then on Wednesday morning, a man reported that he had broken his ankle along the Pacific Crest Trail near Lake Janus.
Officials called in the Snohomish County Helicopter Rescue Team around 10:30 a.m.
The team hoisted the hiker to safety around noon and flew him to Gold Bar where paramedics treated him.
