VIDEO: Scaffolding comes crashing down after high winds in Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Some of the strongest winds of the year in Oregon blew down trees, knocked out power and even brought down scaffolding from the side of a building.

The former restaurant in downtown Portland is being renovated to hold offices and a banquet hall, The Oregonian reports.

People on the street watched and recorded as the scaffolding swayed in the wind before ultimately falling.

No injuries were reported after the collapse. But a silver car parked along the street was hit by pieces of wood.

Wind gusts of around 60 mph were reported at Portland International Airport. According to FOX 12 Oregon, thousands of people were without power.

The winds were expect to slow down just before sunset.
