WATCH: Sheriff's office helicopter spots assault suspect scrambling high up a tree
SEATAC -- Even nimble, high-climbing alleged criminals 80-feet up in a tree are not above the law.
The King County Sheriff's Office air support team helped locate an assault suspect early Friday morning after deputies had lost sight of the him.
Deputies said the man assaulted someone around midnight at the Willow Glen Apartment complex in the 18900 block of 47th Avenue South in Seatac. When police were called, he ran and police lost sight.
The Guardian 1 aircraft located the man 80-feet up in a tree in the nearby area of 19000 block of Military Road South. He was arrested and booked into King County Jail on suspicion of assault.
Guardian 1 often assists in criminal investigations, and has heat-sensing detectors that can be used in the dark.
