Water main break in Kirkland brings pre-holiday woes to some homeowners

KIRKLAND -- A water main break in the 114000 block  of NE 90th in Kirkland Thursday night flooded at least two homes with six to 18 inches of water, the Kirkland Fire Department said. The break left a total of 16 homes in the area without any water, the department added.

Fire Department pumps were used to help remove the water from the homes.

The water main broke around 9:20pm, the department said.
