Wild ride: Couple says 'I do' on roller coaster

PUYALLUP -- Marriage has its ups and downs, but a local couple took that literally when they got married on a roller coaster Monday morning.

Nichole Whitener and Nathan Mottinger were married while riding on the Washington State Fair's new coaster, Rainier Rush. The wedding is part of a popular contest sponsored by STAR 101.5 FM.

The couple has been dating for 12 years. It is a first marriage for both.

The couple had a scone reception at the Fair and will celebrate their honeymoon in Los Angeles.
