Woman hit by her own car
SEATTLE -- A woman in her 60s was taken to a hospital Monday after being hit by her own car outside a Ballard grocery store, the Seattle Times reported.
The woman had parked outside Ballard Market at 1400 Northwest 56th St. and was getting out of her car when the vehicle rolled backward, hitting her, Seattle Fire Department spokesman Kyle Moore told the Times.
The woman was not run over. She was taken to Harborview Medical Center with scrapes and bruises. Moore said the trip to the hospital was largely a precaution, so the woman could be checked for possible internal injuries.
