WSU makes list of ugliest college campuses
PULLMAN – One men’s style magazine claims the rolling hills of the Palouse are home to one of the nation’s ugliest college campuses.
Using criteria such as location, planning and varying degrees of architectural style, Complex Magazine ranked Washington State University 23rd on its list of college eyesores.
The magazines writers claim WSU is “as uninviting as a medical complex”, stating that some of the university’s recently renovated residence halls have as much charm as a motel.
Florida’s Ava Maria University claimed the top spot on the list. Many of AMU’s euro-style buildings surround a church, a design Complex called “obstrusive”.
WSU was the only campus in Washington that made the list.
