Four golfers tied for the lead heading into round 4 of the U.S. Open at Chambers Bay

UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. -- There's a four-way shootout shaping up later today, with a U.S. Open title on the line.

Jordan Spieth, Jason Day, Dustin Johnson and Brandon Grace share the lead heading into the final round at the quirky, grueling Chambers Bay course on Puget Sound.

Spieth is trying to become just the fourth golfer since 1960 to win the Masters and Open in the same year. Tiger Woods last did it in 2002.

Day is trying to provide a dramatic finish to an improbable week that has seen him overcome, to this point, a recurring case of vertigo to contend for his first major.

Johnson is, likewise, trying to earn his major after coming close in the 2010 Open and PGA Championship and 2011 British Open.

Grace is trying to become the first South African to win the Open since Retief Goosen in 2004.

It none of them is able to separate themselves to earn the win, there will be an 18-hole playoff tomorrow.

Four other golfers including J.B. Holmes and Louis Oosthuizen start the day three shots back.
