Henderson and Lee tied for lead at Women's PGA Championship
SAMMAMISH, Wash. - Battling rain and soggy conditions, Brooke Henderson (2-over, 73) and Mirim Lee (2-under, 69) are tied for the lead after two rounds of the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship at Sahalee Country Club in Sammamish, Washington. Lydia Ko, Brittany Lincicome and Gerina Piller are each one shot back. Henderson sunk a 10-foot birdie putt on the par-3 17th to seize the late lead, but narrowly missed a 10-foot bid for par on 18.
Ko finds herself just one shot off the pace. She followed Thursday’s even-par output with a one-under 70. Ko needed 28 putts today, a total more in line with her stellar season average of 28.8 than the 32 putts she utilized on Thursday. Ko, 19, has won each of the last two LPGA majors (2015 Evian Championship, 2016 ANA Inspiration) and is the No. 1 player in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings.
