Russell Wilson leaves game after third-quarter hit

SEATTLE –Just when everything was going so well.

Russell Wilson left the Seahawks' game with a knee injury Thursday, giving way to Trevone Boykin in the third quarter after taking a vicious-looking hit.

Wilson was noticeably limping after taking the hit with the Seattle Seahawks leading, 24-3.

He went back in the game after missing one snap, but once that series was over and the Seahawks' trainers had a look at the injury, Boykin came back in.

There was no immediate word on the extent of the injury.

Sideline reporter Pam Oliver said Wilson was done for the day, but that the Seahawks had planned on pulling him from the game anyway because they were so far ahead at the time.

Wilson stayed on the sideline, with a brace on his left knee.
