Sounders Dempsey and Valdez questionable for Rapids match

 

SEATTLE - Seattle Sounders FC designated players Clint Dempsey and Nelson Valdez are both questionable for Saturday's match in Colorado against the Rapids.

Dempsey did not train with the team Friday but rather stayed inside the team's facility nursing some tightness in his groin. He trained both Wednesday and Thursday but left sessions early both days.

Valdez has been rehabbing a slight injury these past two weeks and missed the start last weekend when the Sounders hosted the Union. He did however, come in off the bench. He left training Friday early with tightness as well.

Oalex Anderson, Aaron Kovar and Herculez Gomez are all options to start if Dempsey and Valdez are unable to go.
