Washington Democrats want the state to be one of the first five states to host an early presidential primary in 2024.

April 26 is Special Election Day in Washington state. Voters will determine the future of property tax levies in Marysville, Granite Falls, Lakewood, Stanwood, Camano and Sultan school districts.

Sara Nelson is projected to defeat Nikkita Oliver for Seattle City Council Pos. 9.

Republican Ann Davison is projected to win the Seattle City Attorney's race over police and jail abolitionist Nicole Thomas-Kennedy.

Seattle’s downtown business community celebrated Wednesday after the moderate candidates it backed took commanding leads in the races for mayor, city attorney and a key council race over liberals who had called to defund the police.
