Happy Friday! It was toasty out there. Once again, temperatures peaked in the lower 90s. Luckily for us we weren't dealing with record breaking heat! However, we were closer to our record highs than our normal high of 79 degrees.

President Joe Biden is sounding the alarm about the need for more resources to fight a series of wildfires in western states, as climate change has worsened the spread and ferocity of the blazes.

There is a Heat Advisory through Saturday evening for the East Puget Sound Lowlands of Pierce, King, Snohomish, Skagit and Whatcom Counties, as well as the South Sound, for hot afternoon highs and warm overnight lows.

Though temperatures won’t reach triple digits like the three-day heatwave in late June, the hot weather will be uncomfortable and dangerous for some.

Happy Thursday! Highs continue to rise this afternoon. Highs will peak in the lower 90 for most of us. This will be extended into tomorrow as highs climb into the mid-90s for some of us and a heat advisory will go into effect!

Temperatures will top out around 90 for Seattle, Tacoma, Bremerton and Olympia this afternoon and Friday.

A phenomenon known as "corn sweat" is combining with a summertime heatwave in the Upper Midwest to make for some unbelievably humid conditions.

Heat and wildfire danger is expected starting Thursday throughout northwestern Oregon, including Portland, and southwest Washington, weather officials said.

We are tracking the heat!  Highs will warm into the upper 80s Thursday with Friday near 90 in Seattle and that is why there is a "Weather Alert Day" for Western WA. Farther south and east highs will jump into the mid 90s.
