Detectives asking for public's help in dead newborn case -- from Seattle to Portland and Idaho

newbornNEAR NORTH BEND -- King County sheriff's detectives are asking for the public's help -- from Seattle to Portland, to Eastern Washington and even Idaho -- in the case of a newborn who was found dead in a wooded area near North Bend, east of Seattle. They're now calling the unidentified newborn 'Baby Kimball Doe' -- after a bridge close to where the infant's body was found. Take a good look at the towel and  burping cloth found with the baby. The towel is black, not tan or green as it appears in the photos. The burping cloth is a Chick Pea brand. Detectives have received tips from the public, but so far haven't been able to identify the infant or mother. "We believe that the suspect or the mom of this baby may have been just passing through. It's very possible that maybe she or an accomplice or something drove through the area, discarded the baby, then continued on their way," King County sheriff's Sgt. Cindi West said. "So, we're specifically looking at alerting our viewers in the Tri-Cities area, the Yakima area, all the way to Idaho and Spokane, and also all the way south in the Portland and Vancouver area. So, we're asking them, if they know anybody that was pregnant that isn't anymore and there doesn't seem to be a child, to call us."
