Window-Breaking Robber: He takes window shopping to an all new level, taking out the whole window
WANTED IN SEATTLE -- Smash and grab, that's what happened at the Suede clothing store on Rainier Avenue South. The thief that police are looking for chucks a garbage can through the window, scattering glass everywhere. And take a look at the break-in from another angle and you can see the glass flying before the crook hops through, whips out a big black garbage sack and starts running around the store, grabbing what he wants and stuffing clothes into his bag. As he leaves, he throws the bag over his shoulder and climbs back through the broken window and takes off down the sidewalk. "In a lot of cases, suspects that steal this amount of clothing probably already have a market for it. They probably have a shopping list, so to speak. Sometimes they have an in-between guy they sell the clothing to or they may put it on Craigslist, so we're going to find him. But this guy is not going to stop, he's pretty desperate. When he went into the store, he certainly had in mind exactly what he wanted to take. 3:27:29,” said retired detective Myrle Carner with Crime Stopper of Puget Sound. Seattle police said he appears to be a tall, older black man with a moustache. He was wearing a hat and gray sweatshirt. Take a look at his face and somebody watching will know who this guy is so cops can put a name to his face. If you know what his name is, Crime Stoppers will pay you for your information if your tip leads to his arrest. Call the hotline at 1-800-222-TIPS. You can text a tip here.
