Mainly dry weather ahead this week in Seattle
Seattle - A ridge of high pressure will strengthen this week, bringing mainly dry conditions and average temperatures through the weekend.
We are seeing some fog north of Seattle, with mostly cloudy skies to start the day for most of the central and South Sound. Areas with fog may be slow to clear today, with mostly cloudy skies expected throughout the day as a weak front approaches.

Late Tuesday into early Wednesday morning, a band of showers will push inland. Most of the showers will dissipate as they push east over the Puget Sound area around midnight. The Washington Coast and North Puget Sound areas have the best chance of seeing some light rain during the overnight period.

High pressure will take over again on Wednesday and Thursday, bringing back a pattern of morning clouds and afternoon sunshine. Temperatures will be close to 50 degrees.
Friday will bring Western Washington the best chance for showers over the next week. We should also see a few inches of snow above 4,000 feet in the Cascades.
