Our Weather Alert will expire as we move into the weekend with a drying trend coming our way!

Wow! What a day!  Steady rain and gusty winds dominating the forecast for sure.  Many locations seeing over an inch of rain inland with over two inches falling along the north coast and into the Olympics. This all thanks to our atmospheric river that continues to drop an intense amount of rain out of the sky!

The good news is we can see the light at the end of this wet tunnel!  We'll slowly start to dry out into Friday.  Expect showers to taper off overnight into first part of the day tomorrow.  Overnight lows will knock off into the mid to upper 40s.

By 5am tomorrow showers will start to slide to the southeast as they fall apart.  The coast and north Sound will see drying first followed by the metro, south Sound and then the Cascades.

Friday afternoon looks really nice, but highs will remain very cool, in fact somewhat chilly.  We're forecasting the upper 40s to low 50s tomorrow.  Brr! Bundle up!

We'll roll with the sunshine theme through the weekend with plenty of sunny skies.  Look for early morning patchy fog, especially Saturday morning as grounds will still be pretty saturated from this weeks rain.  Highs should bounce back to average for Seahawks Sunday!  The Hawks host the Jaguars at Lumen Field with kick off set for 1:05pm.

Also, it's Halloween on Sunday and what score for trick-or-treaters this year with a dry, cool night on tap! Enjoy!

Have a great night! ~Erin Mayovsky, FOX 13 Forecaster
